October 16, 17 & 18, 2008 from 9:00 – 4:00 PM
Fee: $ 270.00 for full session, or $ 90.00 per day
Learn “why you put what where” from the author of A
Painter’s Guide to Design and Composition (North Light, 2006).
Margot Schulzke is a highly regarded teacher who has taught pastel
and oil for over thirty years. Her approach is individualized, good-humored
and supportive. Encouraging workshop participants to think and work
independently, she emphasizes the “whys”, not just the
“hows”. She keeps workshop sizes relatively small (15
– 18 maximum) to allow as much one-on-one as possible with
each student, encouraging them to identify and develop their own
intuitive, natural style. Composition and design are a major focus
of her workshops.
Margot’s work has appeared in five books, including Best of
Pastel and Best of Pastel I. Most recent (2006): Pure Color: The
Best of Pastel. She is listed in Who’s Who in American Artists
in every edition since 1993. A signature artist member of several
major societies, including the Pastel Society of America, American
Artists’ Professional League, the California Art Club, Degas
Pastel Society. She is a Pastel Society of the West Coast Distinguished
Pastel list. She was recently elected to PSWC’s Hall of Fame.
